We run a very cost effective organisation recognising that in the present financial climate value for money is essential. There are no hidden extras. We spend a great deal of time researching the horses we procure for our syndicate members. We avoid asking our members for large initial purchase fees.
We pay members their full share of any prize money. We do not deduct transport costs or any other expenses from prize money.
We do not operate a tipping service for gamblers and like most other reputable syndicates, we make the point that people should join us to enjoy the thrills of ownership, not to make money.
We have a small number of owners for each horse, usually about 12, who each have the same 5% ownership with Running Dragon Racing retaining the remainder. However we encourage our members to take a real interest in all our horses, both on stable visits and at the races. When members visit the stable they get to discuss the horses with our trainer and her assistants.
If one of our horse is injured and has to be taken out of training for more than a short period, we ensure there is a temporary replacement so that members can continue to enjoy their racing.
Lastly, our horses are never just entered in races just for the sake of it. We cannot guarantee that they will win, but we can say that they are always well prepared and fit, and the races they are entered in are carefully selected.
Our Trainer: Nikki Evans
Nikki trains from her stables in the quiet Welsh borders with excellent access to all race courses, runnng a relatively small stable ,where all the horses get her and all the team's personal attention. The facilities are all purpose built and includes a circular sand gallop with viewing platform, 4 furlong grass gallop, an American style stable block, a horse walker, and turn-out pens so all the horses get time out. There are regulation schooling hurdles and fences, and a schooling lane for all the young jumpers. It's a very friendly and sociable yard where all the owners are welcome to chat or just watch the horses work.
